LIFT stands with the AAPI community

One week ago, we experienced yet again an act of violence rooted in hatred and bigotry, that senselessly cut short the lives of eight people.

Collectively, we grieve for Soon Chung Park, Hyun Jung Grant, Suncha Kim, Yong Yue, Delaina Ashely Yaun, Paul Andre Michaels, Xiaojie Tan and Daoyou Feng. We are sad, angry, heartbroken, and fed-up.

As anti-Asian hate crimes continue to rise, we must remain vigilant and act with accountability in our fight for equal justice. To the families LIFT serves and the communities everywhere calling for change – we stand with you.

In the face of tremendous pain and loss, we know that words can fall flat. But we also know that silence is complicity. We add our voice to amplify the collective outrage and commit ourselves to doing better in fighting bigotry in all forms.

We support the safety and wellness of our Asian and Asian-American community. Below are some mental health resources that you can reach out to if you need help.

For the rest of us, we have more work to do and recognize the need for better allyship. Below you can also find resources on bystander intervention, reporting crimes, and information on getting involved.
